TAST Week 32 - Cast on stitch


    This is my sampler for this week challenge    "cast on stitch" .  I used perle cotton thread and the stitches used are Cast on, Double cast on, Colonial knot, Bullion, Stem and Raised stem.

Tapioca ( kappa ) Masala


What you need is


1. Tapioca or Kappa cut into small cubes  2 cups
              2. Small onion (shallot) 5 bulbs
    3. Green chillies  to taste
     4. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
5. Salt  to taste            
6. Curry leaves           
7. Oil  1 Tb sp.           
8. Mustad and Urad dhal for seasoning.             



Cook tapioca with turmeric and salt untill soft. Crush onions and green chillies without adding water. In a pan heat oil and add mustad and urad dhal. Add the cruhed item and fry for 5 minutes. Add curry leaves and cooked tapioca. Add enough water as per your desired consistancy.You can mash it for  a thicker gravy. Serve with dosa, idli or chapathy.

Easy Tasty Egg Roast


For this easy tasty dish you need

1. Boiled eggs  4  ( make few slits )
2. Onion sliced 1 big                      
3. Ginger chopped 1Tb sp              
4. Garlic chopped 1 Tb sp              
                           5. Green chillies  to taste ( cut lengthwise)               
                            6.Corriander leaves 1 bunch                                      
7. Curry laves 3 stems                  
8. Lemon juice 1 Tb sp                
9. Salt to taste                              
10. Corrander powder 2 Tb sp        
11. turmeric powder 1 t sp             
12. Oil 2 Tb sp                                 
                                  


Heat oil in a pan . Add ginger, garlic and chillies. fry for 3 miniutes. Add onions and fry untill light brown . Add salt , corriander powder and turmeric powder. Fry on low heat and add eggs . Cover and keep on low fire for 5 minutes. Add lemon juice., chopped corriander leaves and curry leaves. Goes well with rice and chappathy.

TAST Week 31 - Algerian Eye stitch



I have made two sampler for this week's TAST. 1st one is on Aida cross stitch fabric and the 2nd is on 100% cotton sateen. Thread used is NO:5 Perle cotton.
