TAST - Stitches 66 to 75.

At last I find some  time to do all the stitch samples of TAST.  I was busy for the last two months and could not do any of the previous stitch samples hence thought of doing it in one design. Will be travelling for another two weeks so have to catch up coming new stitches later. Thank you Sharon for all the beautiful stitches.  

TAST week 64 and 65.

TAST week 64 and 65 are Top knotted buttonhole and buttonhole bar. Top knotted buttonhole stitch was  a bit tricky and I have to practice for sometime to get it right and I still think it is not perfect. Buttonhole bar stitch I used to do at  school  in my tailoring class as an eye for the hook instead of using metal eye.

TAST week 58,59,60,61 and 62.

In this design I have used all the five new stitches Sharon has introduced in the past weeks. Feathered buttonhole stitch for the tree branches,  Breton for the bird's nest, Woven detached for the leaves, Diamond and raised cross stitch for the bird feeder.

TAST 2013 Week 49 to 57.

After 6 week's break I am catching up all the new stitches introduced by Sharon from feather and herringbone family. Loved all the new stitches which  I have never seen or heard before. Thank you Sharon. 

TAST week 51 - Knotted cable chain stitch

 Knotted cable chain 

is another beautiful stitch introduced by Sharon on TAST week 51,last stitch for 2012.. I really liked this stitch and I find it easy and beautiful while working with perle thread. Other stitches used from the same family are chain, twisted chain  and detached chain.

TAST week 50 - Berry stitch.

 

TAST week 50 - Berry stitch is very easy to do and I like it. I used two different colour perle 5 threads for the wings of the owl and perle and stranded cotton for the leaves.

I could not post the week 49 stitch, buttonhole eyelet flower , last week hence did two small flowers  in this sampler. Other stitches used are back and satin.

 

TAST week 48 - Arrowhead stitch.

 

This is my attempt on Arrowhead stitch, which Sharon introduced for week 48 of  TAST. Other stitches used are back and star stitch.

TAST week 47 - Portuguese border stitch

 

Another new stitch I learned from TAST. Thank you Sharon. I just loved this stitch and did not have to think  long for a suitable design! I am using the metallic thread for the first time and  I had difficulty stitching  the outline as the strands spread out and tangled while working.

TAST week 46 - Magic chain stitch.

 

"Magic chain stitich" is the new stitch Sharon introduced for TAST week 46. Easy stitch and I had lot of fun while playing around. For the sampler I have used chain, magic chain and french knot.

TAST week - 45,Open base woven picot.

 

My this week's sampler. In fact I made the same stitch last week. Didnt know there is open and closed base woven picot stitch and made as a variation of the stitch.. So much to learn from TAST. All stitches Sharon introduces are new to me and I am  happy and proud to be  a member of Stitchin fingers. 

TAST week 43 Buttonhole wheel cup

This stitch was easy to do and I made two sampler. On the 1st sampler  I used the stitch all over my design for  hair band, dress and also on socks .

TAST week 42 - Italian border stitch.

My sampler for Italian border stitch.

 

 Just like the previous stitches this  one is also new to me. Love this stitch and I find it easy to do.

TAST Week 40 - Beaded hedebo edge.

 

I  made it !!!! I was travelling and just got enough time to complete the sampler.

TAST week 39 - Knotted buttonhole

 

Week 39 TAST challenge was Knotted buttonhole stitch. Simple one, still find difficult to make design hence a  freehand design " hedgehog in a  meadow". Stitches used are knotted buttonhole, buttonhole wheel and stem. As I am travalling I wont be able to do  next week's sampler but sure will catch up with week 41.

.TAST Week 38 - Drizzle stitch.

 

This week's challenge stitch was Drizzle stitch. Intersting one and had lot of fun but I find it difficult to get a design to go with it...At last came up with this one. For a funny stitch ,funny face !!!!!!

TAST Week 37 - Pistil stitch

 

I just loved this stitch. Here is my sampler for week 37 - Pistil stitch. Stitches used are Pistil and Stem .

TAST Week 35 - Sheaf stitch.

 

Not my favourite stitch...just played with it and come out with this design. Used only sheaf stitch in this sampler.
